Biography
Jacob was born 13 Jun 1798 in Virginia and died 16 Dec 1875 in Flannigan Precinct, Hamilton County, Illinois. He moved to the Hamilton County area with his father's family about 1818. Jacob married Nancy Johnson, daughter of John Johnson and Sarah Elizabeth Smith, on 16 Jan 1820 in White County, Illinois and died on 3 Dec 1854 in Hamilton County, Illinois and was buried in Hamilton County, Illinois. They lived in the area north of present Walpole, but later removed to near Braden. Jacob and Nancy were the parents of eleven children, one of them the well-known Uncle Alfred Braden, who was born in 1820 in this county. [1]
