Joseph Bradford (1630 - 1715) is the son of Gov. William Bradford and Alice (Carpenter) (Southworth) Bradford. He married Jael Hobart, the daughter of Rev. Peter Hobart and his wife, Elizabeth (Ilbrook) Hobart. He resided in Plymouth. He has been described in contemporary records as "planter" and "innhoder", with a license to serve liquor.
There were three children were born to this marriage, Joseph, Elisha, and Peter. Elisha is the only child mentioned in his father's will and the only one known to have left children.
"He resided in Kingston (then Plymouth) on Jones' River, half a mile from its mouth, at a place called Flat House Dock; perhaps from the circumstance that he lived in a house with a flat roof." (Fessenden)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:
