Ambrose Jones is a part of US Black heritage.

Ambrose was born about 1852. He is the son of Manuel Jones and Rosella McPherson.

In the 1870 census Ambros [sic] (age 18), Farm Laborer, was in Subdivision 22, Leon, Florida.[1]

Wallace was born in 1851. He was a slave on the Walnut Hill Plantation in Leon County, Florida. His enslaver was Thomas Anderson Bradford, founder of the planation, which was established about 1832. He most likely was born on the plantation. His first name and date of birth were recorded in the plantation journal by Thomas' daughter, Sallie Bradford. It appears from the family grouping in the journal that he was the son of Rozella.[2]
