Jacob was born about 1803 in County Wexford, Ireland to William (b. 1772) & Elizabeth (likely his 2nd wife) Bradley. (possibly Newtonbarry)

Jacob emigrated to Canada in 1818 with his parents & sister (Ann b. 1799) & 4 brothers (Joshua b. 1806, John b. 1808, William b. 1810, Samuel b. 1816). [1]
