Biography

On March 25, 1834, William Brown BRADLEY, son of William Brown BRADLEY, a farmer and Christiana LACASSE was born in Montreal, Lower Canada.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]

On August 21, 1834, William was baptized at Christ Church Anglican Cathedral, Montreal. The family resided at Montreal. The sponsors were Andrew LACASSE, Joshua PELTON and Elizabeth C BRONSDON who signed the baptism register on behalf of the absent father. [1]

On January 11, 1851, William, his parents William and Christianna, and his siblings, Mary Ann, Henry, Frederick, Edward, Adelaide, Wellington and Emma were living on the family farm in Huntley Township, Carleton County, Canada West. William was an Anglican. He was a labourer.[2]

In 1864/1865, William and his family were residing at Concession 1, Lot 6, Huntley Township.[13]

On April 2, 1871, William, his wife, Hannah and their children, Mary Elizabeth, Levi and Anna Amelia were residing on the family farm in Huntley Township, Carleton County, Ontario. They lived in close proximity to Bradley relatives. William was a farmer.[3]

On April 4, 1881, William, his wife, Hannah and their children, Mary, Hannah, Levi and Anna Amelia were residing on the family farm in Huntley Township, Carleton County, Ontario. They lived in close proximity to Bradley relatives. William was a farmer.[4]

On July 20, 1890, William, aged 55 years, and Isabella WOODLAND, aged 45 years, were married at Ottawa, Carleton County. Both William and Isabella were Methodist and were residing at Ottawa. William was a merchant tailor. The witnesses were Thomas BUSBY and Isabella’s brother, Andrew.[5]

On April 6, 1891, William, his wife, Isabella and their daughter, Mary were residing in Ottawa. William was a woolen merchant.[6]

On March 31, 1901, William, his wife, Isabella and his sister-in-law, Esther AUSTIN were residing in Ottawa. William operated a mill.[7]

On June 1, 1921, William, his wife, Isabella and his sister-in-law, Esther AUSTIN were residing at 65 Arthur Street, Ottawa. William was retired.[8]

On June 7, 1922, William, age 88 years, passed away at 65 Arthur Street, Ottawa. The informant of his death was his wife, Isabella.[9][11]
