Byron M. Bradley, age 84, 3803 Monona Dr., died on Saturday, August 20, 1988, at a local hospital.

He was born January 9, 1904, in Columbia County. He moved to Madison in 1939. He moved to Arizona in 1950 and returned to Madison in 1973. He married the former Clara Anfinson on May 27, 1922. They celebrated their 65th anniversary in 1987. He attended the Madison 4 C Business College. Mr. Bradley was engaged in farming in his early life in Columbia County, he later worked for the Oscar Mayer Co., the Gisholt Machine Co. in Madison, and also worked in road construction as an operating engineer. He was a long-time member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 139. He was also a member of the Madison Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Clara; three children, Marcella Hulsman of Madison, Delores (Douglas) Miller of Madison, and Francis (Edna) Bradley of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; a daughter, Rosella; two brothers, William and Adelbert; and two sisters, Rose Gest and Lillle Broadbent.

Funeral services will be held at Lakeview Lutheran Church, 4001 Mandrake Road, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23,1988, with Rev. Dale Sollom officiating. Burial will be Hampden Cemetery (Columbia County). Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, at the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr., and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
