Andrew died at the age of 33 on 20 September 1914 in Le Mans, Departement de la Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France. he was buried in the cemetery at Le Mans West, there are 61 burials from the Great War there including one Unidentified [2][4][4][5]

Served with 1st Battallion, Royal Scots Fusiliers during WWI. Died from illness contracted during service.
Lived at 100 Main Street, Largs at time of 1881 census. Was living with the Goodwin family at time of 1901 census at 28 Sir Michael Street, Greenock. Occupation recorded as Iron Finisher at time of 1901 census and ship finisher at time of 1911 census.
