I've been an amateur self-taught genealogist for 20 years, I also have a Bachelor's degree in archaeology. My great-grandfather was a member of the 'Society of genealogists' and has contributed a great deal to this pedigree (on my father's side).

I have descent from some aristocratic and land-owning English families (Ford of Harting and their ancestors). I'm also investigating my mother's family 'Innes' (we've hit a brick-wall) as evidence suggests a connection the Dukes of Roxburgh (I have copies of 19th century letters from Floors castle) where one of the family worked as Chamberlain to the Duke.
Wishing to find out more about my illegitimate gt-grandfather.
Interested in tracing more ancestors on this side of the family - some of these lines go back into medieval genealogy.

Thank you Liz for finding those, I appreciate the time you took to find these records to make the profile correct.

Hi Liz, saw your comment on Thornbury profile, I've already verified your information from the Collingbourne Parish record. Any additional sources will be welcome. I've detached Anne from the incorrect parents, and was able to merge her into the correct profile. Thank you for finding that.

Thanks for your comments. FindmyPast has transcriptions of Hampshire Parish. Images may be available at the Society of Genealogists. There are some transcriptions on FreeReg and here but they are not as good as FMP's.

There are other families that might belong to William Blunt b 1724 (Frances Knight/ William). eg William Blunt, grocer, widower c 30 married Ann Horspoole in Petersfield in 1758. They christened three Annes and two Williams. An earlier christening of Elizabeth to William Blunt and Elizabeth may have been from his first marriage and the burial of Elizabeth Blunt in 1756 could have been his wife or daughter.

I also haven't placed William Blunt, mealman, married Ann Howard 1803.

Hi Liz,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?

If you do have questions, I'm pretty good at finding answer or at least finding someone who knows the answer. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

Hi Elizabeth

You are now a confirmed member.

You can now get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is

How to Start Climbing Our Tree.

Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.

Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.

You can have fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum:

Have you attended a family reunion this summer?

Enjoy Researching
