Joseph was born in Dubuque County, Iowa in 1874 to Martin and Mary (Shea) Bradshaw and farmed in the area his entire life. Joseph Bradshaw married Rose Mary Ward in Placid, Dubuque County, Iowa on 3 March 1908 [1][2] at the age of 34. Together, they had ten children: .. He passed away in 1958 and is buried among family in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fillmore, Iowa. [3]
