Biography

Home of Hugh and Hannah Brady

Hugh Brady, Jr. is the son of Hugh Brady (1709-1779) and Hannah (McCormick) Brady.

In 1761, in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Hugh married Jane Young Brady. They were the parents of:

  • James Young Brady, born 1763, died May 2, 1839, married Rachel Speer, and was a Senator from the state of Pennsylvania;
  • Rebecca Brady, born 1774, died 1848, married Hugh McCune, and had nine children, in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania

Hugh and Jane are buried in the Old Middle Spring Cemetery, in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
