Biography

1776 Project
Archibald Brady served with North Carolina Militia during the American Revolution.

Archibald was born about May 27, 1746 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He lived from at least 1790 to 1829 in Iredell County, North Carolina. He died on Nov 27, 1829 in Iredell County, North Carolina. His estate was settled in 1839 when his wife died.[1]

Spouse: Margaret Irvin/Erwin (1755-1839), marriage Bond dated May 28, 1779, witnessed by Samuel Irwin, sealed by A. Osborn[2]

Children: They had numerous children but we are still researching sourcing.

Burial: Once source says that he was buried at Concord Presbyterian Church. There is an Archibald Brady (1835-1915) buried at the New Sterling Cemetery, near Concord Presbyterian Church, but no older Archibald Brady.

Revolutionary War Service

He served during the Revolutionary War.[3]
