Mary Marrs, aged 16 and Ernest Bradford Bragg, aged 19, had a daughter Mary Marrs in September 1916. The subsequent Court case was in October 1916. [2]
On 27 October 1916 Ernest, an unmarried Roman Catholic Coachbuilder aged 19, enlisted into the Australia Army (A.I.F.) April 1917 Reinforcements at Melbourne, Victoria. His father was deceased and his widowed mother Margaret lived at 45 Otter Street, Collingwood, Victoria. He served as a Driver, Regimental number 18376, with the 14th Field Company Engineers. Unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A28 Miltiades on 2 August 1917, He returned to Australia on 1 August 1919. [3]
Ernest Bragg married Eileen Margaret Fennessy in Victoria in 1921. [4]
In 1922 Ernest was a railway employee living with Eileen Margaret Bragg in Tuaggra St, Maryborough, Victoria.
In 1931 Ernest was a Linesman living with Eileen Margaret Bragg at 262 Wellington St, Collingwood, Yarra, Victoria.
He passed away in 1951, aged 54 [5] and was buried at the Boroondara General Cemetery,
