Research Notes
An Eleanor Bragg of the right age arrived in New York in 1834 aboard the brig Mary Maria from Liverpool.[2] The name Braa is transliterated from her death certificate, though her father's name is very difficult to read, and may have been written Brag. The spelling Bragg appears on the death certificate of her daughter Mary (Tryon) Hixson.
