On 7 November 1885 Benjamin married Sarah Ann Phillips at Drybrook. The couple both lived at Harry Hill. Benjamin was a Coal Miner. Tom and Rachel Phillips were witnesses. [3] In 1891 Benjamin and Sarah Ann lived with 4 children, including baby Alfred at Harry Hill. [4] Sadly Sarah Ann died the following year, 1892 aged 34 leaving Benjamin with a young family. [5]
On 5 September 1894 Benjamin, now a widower, married Sarah Pruett at Drybrook. The couple were both in their 40's. Benjamin was a Coal Miner. Both parties lived at Harry Hill. John and Susannah Brain were witnesses. [6] In 1901 Benjamin and Sarah lived with 3 of Benjamin's children at Drybrook. He was a Coal Hewer, ie he worked directly at the Coalface. [7]
Benjamin died aged 59 in 1910. [8] He was buried on July 28th at Drybrook and had been living at Nailbridge. [9]

I’ve removed Joseph, Brain-122, as father of Benjamin. Looks like this one is the son of Benjamin on the 1861 census.
