Biography

Benjamin Brain was baptised in on 25 August 1771. His parents were James and Hester noted to be 'of Littledean'. [1]

on 2nd May 1799 Benjamin married Ann Smith in Flaxley. He was noted to be from Littledean. [2]

Benjamin and Anne baptised at least 2 children in Newland, Maria (1800, Ellwood) and James (1802, Whitecliff).

There is only 1 death record for Benjamin with the correct date of birth, in 1836, aged 65 when he lived at Yearsley's Tump. [3]
