John Braman was the son of Susannah Penny Baker Braman and her husband Minus Braman.
In 1839, he married Mary Kemp in Florida. John and Mary Braman appeared in the 1840 Census of the Florida Territory.
The Bramans lived in Key West most of their lives, and are buried in the Key West Cemetery.
