Benjamin was born about 1713. He is the son of Francis Branch and Elizabeth Norwood. [1]

Benjamin's father Francis's will was recorded in 1717, stating that 4 of his 11 children were still underage (under 16), sons Benjamin and George (both likely 1702 - 1708, based on the assumption that the mother would stop bearing children at 40 years of age.) being 2 of the 4. Thus, Benjamin's birth date must be before 1708. [1]
