1900 Census: Francis M Brand and his wife, Rachel P Brand (64) were living in the Cauthron Township of Scott County, Arkansas where the family farmed. The record notes that Francis was 71, born in Georgia during January of 1829, and that he had been married to Rachel for 47 years. The couple grandson, John Brand (13) was also listed as a member of the household.[4]
