Ouers: Die tweede kind van Burchard Brand en Catharina Hartz.
Aankoms: Was as soldaat aan die Kaap vanaf 1712 tot 1716 waarna hy die Kaap verlaat. In 1726 keer hy terug na die Kaap vanaf Ceylon as vryburger.
Geboorte plek: Gebore in Hamburg, Duitsland.
Oorlede: Gedurende 1738.
