1850, Adolph Brandeis, a 26 year old grocer b. Austria, lived with Fredrica, 22 b. Prussia; Samuel Brandeis, 30 b. Austria, a physician; and Caroline Brandeis, 20 b. Austria. Julia Fynn, 25 b. Ireland, is living with them.[3]

In 1870, "Adolp Brandies," a 48 year old grain merchant b. Prussia, lived with his wife Fredrika, 41 b. Prussia, and four children: Fanny, 19 b. Indiana; Amy, 18 b. Kentucky; Alfred, 16 b. KY; and Louis, 13 b. KY. Fanny and Amy are at home, while Alfred and Louis are in school. Three servants are living with the family: Lizette Graff, 38, a domestic b. Baden; Anna Schulte, 35, a domestic b. Nassau: and Horace Taylor, a coachman, 21 b. Tennessee.[4]

In 1880, Adolph Brandeis, a 58 year old commission merchant b. Bohemia, lived with his wife Frederica, 52 b. Prussia, and son Alfred, 26 b. Kentucky. Adolph's parents were both born in Bohemia, while Frederica's father was born in Hungary and her mother in Bohemia. The Otto Wehle family lives in the same house, as well as two servants.[5]
Burial
Adolph died on January 21, 1906, and the age of 83. He was a merchant born in Austria.[6] Adolph is buried at The Temple Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, USA.[7]
