Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Ralph

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 71 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Again, thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles!

Dorothy, Volunteer Coordinator.

Welcome to the Wiki Family, Ralph --

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.

Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

The Question of the Week is “Have you discovered or uncovered a fact you were once a bit hesitant to share?” Stop by to join in the discussion.

Ralph, it was my pleasure to both welcome and confirm you as a new Wiki Member !

See you in the branches --

Hello Ralph,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.

Brandi-20 and Brandi-8 appear to represent the same person because: Hi, Barbara, I just joined WikiTree, and after doing so, found that I was already listed here. I would like to merge my recently-created account with this representation of myself. I will also be asking to join the trusted list for a number of my other relatives who are listed here as a result of your uploading the information from the Hugh Darrell Miller genealogy, which is what got me started in researching my family tree in the first place.
