Anna Maria Barbara (Brandt) Rothenhauser has German Roots.
Anna Maria Barbara Brandt was born at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, on March 14, 1754, and was baptized on March 24, 1754, at St. John's Anglican Church in Lunenburg.[1] She was the daughter of Johann Jacob Brandt and Anna Sophia Christiana Frederika Falkenheim.'[2][3]
In 1751, Barbara's parents arrived in Nova Scotia on board the "Murdoch", captained by Robert Hamilton.[4][5][6]They settled at Lunenburg along with many other German families, and are recorded on the victualling lists for 1753, 1755, and 1757.[7][8][9] Her father is recorded among the Founding Fathers of Lunenburg.[10]
According to Winthrop Bell's notes, Barbara's mother Sophia passed away before 1760 as in January 1760, her father Jacob remarried to Anna Elizabeth Weyman. Jacob then died likely in 1762 as the Barbara and her younger brother were orphans when the 300-acre lots were assigned in 1763. One was assigned to "Jacob Brand's children". Philip Rodenhäuser apparently was acting as guardian as he is recorded as having paid the fee for the lot for "Jacob Brand's orphans". There were two extra children in Philip's family in the Nova Scotia Census of July 1770 which would have been Barbara and her brother.
On May 7, 1771, Barbara married George Philip Rothenhauser at St. John's Anglican Church. He was the son of Johann Philip Freidrich Rothenhauser and Anna Elizabeth Zinck, who had also arrived in 1751 aboard the Murdoch (the same ship as the Brandt's.).[11][12][13][14]
Philip and Barbara lived at Lunenburg, where he worked as a farmer.[15][16]They are recorded having the following children:[17]
George Philip passed away on September 27, 1828,[21] and Barbara on November 20, 1831.[22] She was buried on November 22, 1831.[23]

I have changed the birth location from Mahone Bay to Lunenburg. I can find no document that states where she was born however her father had one town lot in 1753, and two in 1760 besides the farm lot in Mahone Bay. It was far more likely that they lived in the town and she would have been born there. According to Chris Young's book "Maps Associated with Lunenburg County Family History", there were still troubles with the natives up until about 1760 so it was not very safe to live outside of the town in those first years especially when she was born in 1754.
