We find Directeuren, Herr Georg Brandt as head of household in Riddarhyttan in the second book for Skinnskatteberg. It is noted that his wife, Catharina Ysing, died in 1704, and that he then remarried with Elisabeth Brink.[1]
Georg Brandt, Directeur at the copper works, Riddarhyttan here in the parish, died 21 April 1714. His obituary tells us that he was born in the town of Burg on the isle Fehmarn in Holstein 24 August 1647. He had an aptitude for the beneficient sciences, was an apothecary for Graf Magnus Delagardie and finally at the major Pharmacy in Stockholm. Lastly Brukspatron here in the parish. Married thrice. A very honest and upright man.[2]
