Jacob Brandwijk, born 15 October 1813[1] in Giessen Nieuwkerk, son of Cornelis Brandwijk and Neeltje van Houwelingen. He passed away 21 October 1849 in Batavia, Nederlands Oost-Indië.
Jacob Brand enlisted 26 May 1847 at the Korps Mariniers of the Dutch Navy. In 1849 he served in the Dutch East Indies and participated in the Dutch Intervention in Bali. He died 21 October 1849 in the Hospital in Weltevreden[2]
