In 1871 she lived at Ganaravan, Knottingley, Yorkshire with her parents and siblings, Catherine Branford, Hannah Branford and Fred Branford. Susannah's grandmother was also living with them. Her father was working as a mariner. [2]
In 1881 Susannah still lived with her parents at Racca Green, Knottingley, Yorkshire. Her father was now a grocer and corn dealer. Some of Susannah's older siblings were working with him in what appears to be a family business. Susannah, age 11, was still a scholar.[3]
In 1891 she lived at Mariners Place, Knottingley, Yorkshire, still with her parents . Susannah's father was now a Ship Builder. .[4]
Susannah was not at home when the 1901 census was taken, but in 1911 she was back at her parents home, Bendles House, Knottingley, Yorkshire. [5]
