When Mary Ethel Branson was born on October 12, 1919, in Chamois, Missouri, her father, William, was 30, and her mother, Hattie, was 20. She married Ira Verdot in 1959. They had one child during their marriage. She died on June 27, 2010, in Jefferson City, Missouri, at the age of 90, and was buried there.
