Tara Sue Allison

NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va. - Tara Sue Allison, born on April 3, 1951, a daughter of the late Floyd Daniel Brant and Connie Mae Richmond and step-father, Willis Richmond, passed away at her home in New Cumberland on Saturday, March 21, 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Tara's husband of 37 years, Jim Allison survives as does their children, Joshua Daniel Allison, and Megan Sue Walker and her husband Kenny, her very special granddaughter, Gracee Mae Walker, her sisters, Debbie (Bill) Hale, Jill Brant and husband Ron English of Ocala, Fla.; and Marcy (Dave) Hess of New Cumberland, her step sisters, Carolyn Barton and Tish (Don) Cornwell of New Cumberland, her step brother, Ron (Lucy) Richmond of Charlotte, N.C.; and a brother-in-law, Gary Jackson.

In addition, Tara has many nieces, nephews, and family that she dearly loved and enjoyed being around.

Tara's sister, Lisa Jackson preceded her in death along with her parents.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, for her family, reading, camping, and being outdoors.

Very passionate about her job, Tara worked in the laboratory at East Liverpool City Hospital for 40 years. Tara's friends she made while working at the lab were like family to her and she loved them dearly.

Tara established the Sundowners 4-H Club in 1976 and has been a leader for 38 years. She had devoted her life to her club and the 4-H's. Her love for 4-H and young people rings true in the lives she has touched. Tara's legacy with the Sundowners has had a great impact on the community and the families she has worked with. Tara was also active in the West Virginia 4-H All Stars and 4-H Camp Aura.

Tara's family requests that donations in her name be made to the Sundowners 4-H Club at P.O. Box 174 New Manchester, W.Va. 26056

A celebration of life service is being for planned for a later date and will be announced at that time. It will be held at 4-H Camp Aura on Ross Road near New Cumberland.

She is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester and you may view this memorial and send condolences at www.arnerfuneralchapel.com.
