Hiram was born in 1802. He passed away in 1884. 
Hiram was the son of Thomas Brashier III. Hiram and his wife Irena Cox Brashier moved from Greenville County, South Carolina to Marshall County, Alabama in 1855. In the wilderness of Marshall County, Hiram cut logs and built a house for his family.
The gravestone says that Hiram was born in 1812, however, census records for 1860, 1870 and 1880 all suggest that he was born in 1802.
