He was born in July 1755 in Wayne County, North Carolina and was drafted there. In 1812 he moved to Anson County, North Carolina. His widow, Penelope Blow, applied for pension July 25, 1840 in Anson County, North Carolina. Pension Application He died August 20, 1839. Penelope died August 30, 1846.
His remains are actually just down the road from Red Hill in an unmarked grave on what was Braswell Family Farm cemetery which is unkept and over grown. Now there is a Memorial Marker @ Redhill Church. [1]
