Biography

Charlie Dent Braswell was born 1893 in St. Francis, Arkansas. He is the son of Ephraim Braswell and Lulu Grant.[1]

Charlie Dent Braswell left home shortly before WWI and joined, he also served in WWII. He was MIA in his family for decades before a reunion took place with his surviving siblings of Willie Alma and Curtis Braswell about mid to end of 1950s. Charlie did not see his Father Ephraim before he passed in 1921. Eula Gay Braswell's obit says that in the year 1914 she had a traumatic episode, was admitted to the hospital, given electric shock treatment and died as a result. She was mentioned as a beloved citizen of the community. Robert Braswell born 1901 (the twin that survived) is 'said' by my GrandFather Charlie Dent Braswell to have died while he and Robert jumped on a train. As a result Charlie ran away from home feel guilty that he'd help to cause the death of his little brother Robert and since Eula Gay Braswell had no children of her own when she married for the first time to Ephraim Lacey Braswell and Robert Braswell would have been about 4 years old during the start of said marriage, it's likely Eula Gay Braswell went into shock in 1914 (when the train accident likely occured) upon hearing that Robert had died, a son she likely thought of as her own since Robert's Mother died in St. Fransis Arkansas in 1901 and Eula Gay Braswell had no children of her own.

Note

Lulu Grant, Ephraim Lacey Braswell's first wife died in St. Francis Arkansas and buried there alongside Grover and an infant twin son to Robert Braswell above born 1901. EULA Braswell is Ephraim Lacey Braswell's second wife Eula GAY, they married in Coweta co GA 1905.
