The 1910 Census says that she immigrated in 1892.^[1]

  Ulkar Boom should be Aalke Braun Boom, my great-grandmother:

  • Born in Germany in 1869
  • Died in Nebraska in 1956^[2]
  • Married John Jensen Boom in 1895

• It should be noted that there is another family in Nebraska with the last name of Boom, and some of the children have the same given names, so records should be checked carefully for birth dates and other identifying information to make sure they are connected with the correct people.
