Lucretia Marian (Bray) Woollven was given over to authorities because her mother's new fiancé did not want children. The children were living in an orphanage and when Lucretia was between the tender ages of 12-14 years old she went into service for a well-to-do family as a seamstress.[2]
She married Francis James Woollven in 1900

at St Paul's Church, East Molesey, Sussex: Francis James Woolven, bachelor, age 28, labourer, of East Molesey, son of Edward Woolven, fitter; Lucretia Marian Bray, spinster, age 28, of Halliford, daughter of Thomas Abel Bray, baker. Both parties signed the register, and the marriage was witnessed by Benjamin Pettit and Ellen May Pearce

In 1901, she was living with her husband in East Molesey, Surrey.[5]
