Biography

Ambrose Bray was born about 1600 in Cornwall. The son of John Bray. He married Thomasin Harries^[1] on 16 November 1625 at Gwenapp, Cornwall. He lived at Gwennap In 1660 but died in 1667^[2] at Stithians in Cornwall aged 67.

If this Burial Date is correct then he died after his son who died in 1677

Ambrose's parents are uncertain, but his father is probably one of the sons of Thomas Bray of Gwennap who made his will in 1699 As Ambrose named his eldest son John it would seem likely he is the son of John Bray ,but could also be the son of James or Stephen. They all had children as evidenced by their father's will
