Biography

Daniel Damon Bray[1][2] was born in 1857.[3] He was the son of Nathaniel Bray and Emily (Damon) Bray.[4] In 1860, he lived with his family in Richmond, Ontario, New York, United States.[5] He married Mary Katherine "Kate" (Hartman) on August 6, 1882 in Syracuse, Otoe, Nebraska, United States. In the 1900 census, he was married to Kate, and had seven children by her. She died in 1907. In 1910, he was a widowed farmer, living with six of his children, as well as Hazel Napier and Bernicia Olive Skaats, his housekeeper, in Columbus, Platte, Nebraska, United States.[6] In 1920, he was living in Columbus, Platte, Nebraska, United States with his children and his wife, Bernicia Olive (Skaats) Bray.[7] He passed away in 1925 in Columbus, Platte, Nebraska, United States.[8] He was buried in the Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, Platte, Nebraska, United States.[9]

His parents were Nathaniel and Emily G (Damon) Bray.

Son of Nathan (b abt 1823) and Emily (b abt 1831) Bray (1860 census).

Daniel had been previously married to Mary Katherine Hartman, on Aug. 6, 1882 in Syracuse, Nebraska. In the 1900 census, he was married to Kate, and had 7 children by her. She died in 1907. In 1910, he was widowed, living with 6 of his children and Benicia and Hazel Napier. Bernicia was a hired housekeeper. By 1920, Daniel and Bernicia were married.
