Biography

Mary Arabella Bray was born on 17 February 1902^[1] and registered for the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter (Q1) of 1902 in the Holsworthy district.^[2] She was the daughter of William Bray and Arabella Bayly.

Mary married James Sanders Banbury on 2 October 1928 in Exeter, Devon, as reported in the Western Times on 5 October 1928^[3] which was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1928 in the Holsworthy district.^[4] His father was T Banbury.

They had several children.

They had a Banbury son who was born on 18 April 1930 in Plymouth, Devon, which was probably named James B Banbury (based on census data), as reported in the Western Morning News on 22 April 1930.^[5]
