Biography

Pierre (Brazeau) Brasseau was born about 1745 in Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia, son of Claude Brasseur (~1722 - 1799) and Marguerite Bertrand (~1732 - 1798).

Pierre Brasseau, son of Paul Brasseau and the late Marguerite Bertrand, and Marguerite David (~1745 - <1796) , daughter of Joseph David and the late Magdeleine Gautier, were married 1 Oct 1781 in the parish of Saint François-de-Sales-de-l'Ile-Jésus, Laval, Province de Québec. Present at the marriage were Paul Brasseau, Jean Forget, Francois and Charles Hebert and many others. [1]

Pierre Brasseau, widower of Marie David, and Marie Therese Babin (1768 - 1808) , adult daughter of Louis Babin and the late Marie Therese Gibau, were married 25 Apr 1796 in the parish of Saint-Charles-de-Lachenaie, Lachenaie, Bas-Canada. [3]

Pierre Brasseau dit Cadien, with a given age of fifty-five years, died 15 May 1800 and was buried 17 May 1800 in the cemetery of Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rivière-des-Prairies, Montrèal. Bas-Canada. Present at the burial were Michel Brasseau brother and Joseph Christin Saint Amour. [5]
