Obituary

NEARLY FOUR SCORE YEARS

MISS ISABELLA BRECKENRIDGE DIES THIS AFTERNOON AT ADVANCE AGE. IN COUNTY HALF CENTURY

Had Lived In Rockford and Guilford for Many Years--Funeral Probably Wednesday.

Miss Isabella Breckenridge, a resident of Rockford and vicinity for more than a half a century, passed away this afternoon at 1 o'clock at her home.

Her death was due to apoplexy, following a stroke which she had sustained Friday morning. She had been an invalid for many years but the condition had not been considered critical until the sudden stroke which came on yesterday.

Miss Breckenridge was a native of Scotland, born July 23, 1828. She would have been 80 years of age next July. She came to this county fifty for years ago. For many years she resided at the home with her brother, Robert Breckenridge in Guilford, but four years ago she moved to Rockford and since had made her home with her sister, Mrs. William Reid.

She is survived by three brothers, Archibald, of Rockford and Robert and Edward, of Guilford, and two sisters, Mrs. Reid of this city and Mrs. Jessie McDonald of Harlem.

She had been a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church since coming to Rockford.

The funeral service will probably be held Wednesday at the home. Internment will be in the Reid Cemetery in Guilford. [5]
