Biography

Rhoda Breed was a daughter of Caleb Green Breed and Polly Dye, of Pharsalia, New York ^[1]. Her birth year may be estimated from her age (24) at the 1850 census of Pharsalia ^[2].

Rhoda married 12 Nov 1850, Abel R. Lord (1827 - 1908). Several children of this family are documented (possibly others):

• Arthur Lord (1859 - 1877)

This family resided at first in Chenango County, New York ^[4],^[5], however they may have been doubly counted in Kane County, Illinois in the 1860 census ^[6]. From 1865 onward they were enumerated in Madison County, New York ^[7],^[8],^[9],^[10]. At the 1900 census, Rhoda and her husband were living in household of their son Francis N. Lord, located likewise in Nelson, New York ^[11], then in 1905 with their son Rudolph Lord ^[12].

Rhoda (Breed) Lord died in 1905. Her grave is in Erieville Cemetery, Nelson, Madison County, New York, USA ^[13].
