Biography

Emma Bell Breed, b. 11 Jan 1868, was the fourth child of Martha O. (Lyon) Breed (1836-1917) & Richard Edwards Breed (1837-1923) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ^[1]. The 1870 U.S. census counted Emma, age 2, with her birth family in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ^[2].

Emma married 11 Jul 1889 George David Lindsay of Ionia, Michigan. They had 6 children:

3. David Breed Lindsay
4. Jeannette Breed Lindsay
5. Sarah Breed Lindsay
6. Richard Edwards Lindsay

In middle age and later life, Emma and George Lindsay resided in Sarasota, Florida ^[7],^[8],^[9].

Emma Bell (Breed) Lindsay died 11 Mar 1943. Her grave is in Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA ^[10] beside that of her husband.
