Biography

Altia Lelia Breed, b. 22 Mar 1882, was the first child of Mary Elizabeth (Morgan) Breed (1859-1940) & Leslie Adelbert Breed (1855-1940).

Altia L. Breed was enumerated at age 13 with her birth family during the 1895 Kansas state census, residing in Jewell, Jewell County, Kansas ^[1]. They were in Browns Creek Township of Jewell County in 1900 ^[2] and 1910 ^[3].

Altia L. Breed married 30 Nov 1910, at Arcadia, Texas, John M. Alcorn ^[4][b. 19 July 1863, in Kentucky, son of George Ann (Hughes) and James Albert Alcorn; widower of Sally Wilson Meadows]. They resided at Browns Creek Township, Jewell County, Kansas^[5]. One child proceeded from this marriage:

• June Madeline Alcorn (1913–1916 ^[6])

This couple continued to reside in Jewell County, Kansas, in 1920, then moved to Glen Elder, in Mitchell County, Kansas, by 1930 ^[7],^[8].

Altia Lelia (Breed) Alcorn died 27 Oct 1937 in Glen Elder, Kansas. Her grave is in Ionia Cemetery, Ionia, Jewell County, Kansas, USA ^[9].
