Biography
Joshua Breed, b. 1 Mar 1819, was the twelfth and final child of Elizabeth (Clement) & Thomas Breed [1].
He married about 1843, probably at Jamestown, New York, Betsey (Heath) Breed (abt.1823-1876). There may have been 4 children of this union:
- Matilda Martha Breed (1844–1923 [2]); married Dr. Charles H. Stocking
- Henry A. Breed (1846–1865)
- Darwin George Breed (1849-1929); married 1) Mary Etta Hunt; 2) Nancy Norris Chew
- Dwight Benjamin Breed (1852-1924); married Electa Barrett Brown
Joshua Breed died at Footville, Wisconsin, 23 Nov 1854. His grave is in Grove Cemetery, Footville, Rock County, Wisconsin, USA [3].
