HILLARY was born about 1838 in Pike county, Mississippi. He is the son of HILLARY BREELAND and AILY BROWN.

He was in the household of his mother, AILY, on the 1850 Census listed as age 10.[1] The 1860 Census enumerated him as age 21 in AILY's household.[2]

During the Civil War, HILLARY was a Private in the Dahlgreen Rebels - Co. H, 7th Infantry in Mississippi.[3] He mustered into service 3 October 1861 at Camp Clark Bay, St. Louis, Mississippi. The Muster Roll for December 1861 shows he was dismissed for disability in Pike County.

No records have been found on HILLARY after the Civil War.
