So far as this research goes, the first documentation of Harriet's existence is found in the 1850 US Federal census for Forsyth County, North Carolina. Harriet's mother, Sarah Wendell Brendle, Wendell-300 is widowed, and living with her five children, named:

Washington, age 15
Belinda, age 17
Harriet, age 12
Sarah is just 53 years old according to this record
Harriet married George Washington Wilson Wilson-32439 on 8th of October, 1856, Forsyth County, North Carolina. In words of the minister, Wm. Turner, transcribed to the best of my ability: "Mr. AJ Stafford: C.C.C. of Forsyth County, N. C. This is to certify that, I Wm. Turner: a regular Ordained Minister of The Gospel, on the 9th day of October, 1856, celebrated and solemnized the rights of matromony, between Geo. Was. Wilson of Davidson Co. and Mrs. (not certain) Harriet E. Brendle: and joined them together as man and wife."
Thus far, no exact date for Harriet's death been found, nor do we yet know the place of her burial.
