George was born in 1889. He is the son of Joseph Breneman and Frances Humphry. He served as Private and the 18th Engineers World War I.

George Breneman of Martinez saved the life of a woman in a buggy in Martinez this week, but In doing so was compelled to wreck his automobile. In order to avoid the buggy It became necessary for Mr. Breneman to run into a freight wagon, which stood the shock very well, but the machine was battered almost beyond recognition.
