In the 1841 census, William Tippett (55, ag.lab), Mary Tippett (55), Prudence Tippett (18), Richard Tippett (12) and Jane Old (17) are living at Penrose, St Ervan[3]
In the 1851 census, William Tippett (66 born St Columb) and wife Mary (66 born St Merryn) are living at Penrose, St Ervan[4]
In the 1861 census, William Tippett (80, ag.lab born St Columb) and wife Mary (76 born St Merryn) are living at Penrose, St Ervan[5]
Mary died aged 73 and was buried on 25 Jan 1863 at St Ervan. Her residence was "Penrose"[6]
