Walter was born in 1889 to Robinson Brenton and Margaret Winton. He married Marion Hopkins. Walter served in WWI and WWII. WW1 he served with the 8th Siege Battery, Halifax Royal Canadian Garrison Artillery, Canadian Expeditionary Force. He died at age 76 on August 7th, 1967 and was buried at Pine Grove Cemetery.
