Gertrude and three of her sisters, Anna, Lillian, and Sarah, moved to the Bronx, Bronx, New York, United States, where they were living together in 1925. Anna worked as a saleslady, Lillian was a nurse, Gertrude did housework, and Sarah was a bookkeeper.[5]
Gertrude married Irving Saffeir January 5, 1930 in the Bronx, Bronx, New York, United States[6] and they had two children (see Notes).
Gertrude and Irving lived in Queens, New York, United States until sometime after 1935 (when their son, Alan was born in New York), before moving to California, United States.[7]
In 1940 Gertrude, Irving, and their two children were living in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States in the home of Gertrude's sister, Anna Weiner, and her husband, Joseph Weiner.[7]
Gertrude lived in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California, United States from at least 1990 until the time of her death.[8]
