Biography

Jacques Hély was born in 1739. He first married Angélique Chatigny, daughter of Louis Châtigny and Marie-Anne Leclerc, on 22 Aug 1785 in St-Henri-de-Lauzon. He was listed as resident of St-Charles de Bellechasse. They had 4 known children together, 1 known to die young and 2 to marry. Angélique died 7 Apr 1794 in St-Henri-de-Lauzon, aged 28 per funeral record. He remarried with Marguerite Mercier in November 1794. [1]
