Biography

Alfred Edward Brett, son of Jacob Brett and Elizabeth Jeffery, ^[1] was born in about 1858 in Northwood, Isle of Wight. ^[1][2] He married Eleanor Louisa Whitehorn in about February 1885 at the Register Office, Newport, Isle of Wight. ^[3][4][5]

Children
The 1911 census ^[5] states that Alfred and Elenor had 12 children born alive of whom 9 were still alive and 3 had died. It seems likely that 2 of these children probably died shortly after their birth, as records have only been found for 10 children:
