Joseph was born in 1885. He was the son of John Brett and Elizabeth Unknown.
He married Emma Catherine Jones in 1920 at Sydney, NSW.[1]
He married Verona Elsie Dempsey in Petersham in 1949.[2]
He was buried in Field of Mars Cemetery, Ryde, New South Wales, RC, Section E, plot 1925.[5]
